Wetland Delineation and Rare Plants

Lyle Vicaire of Anqotemug Maqamigew has completed more than 100 wetland delineations throughout his career, including functional assessments. Anqotemug Maqamigew has completed wetland assessments across all three Maritime Provinces with plans to reach across Canada. Displaying a wide range of wetland type and function. Apart from carrying Indigenous Traditional Knowledge for medicinal plants, Lyle Vicaire is similarly proficient in rare plant surveys.

Bird and Bats

Lyle Vicaire has partaken in various bird and bat surveys. Access to a wide network of environmental professionals and our own experience, allows Anqotemug Maqamigew to fulfil any client requests for avian species surveys, monitoring and environmental regulations.

Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Anqotemug Maqamgiew is fortunate to be knowledgeable regarding Geographic Information Systems (GIS), an integrated computer hardware and software that can store, manage, analyze, edit, output, and visualize geographic data. GIS is an integral component to the environmnental industry and all employees at Anqotemug Maqamigew are trained in at least basic GIS data collection, compilation, and analysis.

Ecological Restoration and Design

Lyle Vicaire has taken the initiative into brining a novel salt marsh restoration technique to Atlantic Canada. As part of a Master of Science Degree. Mr. Vicaire has discovered how to utilize native seeds for salt marsh restoration. It has been proven time and time again that exploiting the natural flora of an ecosystem greatly benefits local restoration initiatives. For current and future restoration projects, native seed utilization is a strategy prioritized by Anqotemug Maqamigew and partners.
